Sugar-free? But It Has Sucralose
The front label claims, "No sugar added". But can you spot the ingredient used as a sweetener?
It is Sucralose. Sucralose is a zero-calorie sweetener used in foods and beverages. Also known as SPLENDA, sucralose is chemically extracted from sugar. That chemical production also changes it as the sweetener passes through your body and is not broken down in the digestive tract.
The side effects of Sucralose/Splenda:
It changes the bacteria in your gut by lowering the good bacteria.
It can stimulate your appetite causing you to eat more food, specifically sweet food.
It can cause weight gain.
It can cause bloating and gas.
It can also increase inflammation in the body. Increased inflammation in turn creates even more problems for your health.
